From July, 7 to 10, 2021, the Training Center, Center of Surgical Innovation ® hosted a course "Practical skills of laparoscopic surgery in urology."

Course curator - Ph.D. Stakhovsky OE, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Oncourology, National Cancer Institute.

The course program included a theoretical block, a practical part and a vet lab. The theoretical program included lectures on the basics of laparoscopic technique, types of surgical energies, basics of laparoscopy in urology, video resources on laparoscopic urology, complications in laparoscopic urology.

Classes on laparoscopic simulators were held according to a special method based on European recommendations for basic laparoscopy for urologists. One of the days of the course program was devoted to visits by doctors from the National Cancer Institute and assistance to the course curator in the operating room.

During the "vet lab" practice, cadets had the opportunity to apply laparoscopic techniques and techniques on biological material, to test high-frequency, plasma and ultrasound devices from the world's leading manufacturers of surgical equipment. Under the guidance of the course curator, surgeons successfully practiced the basic skills of laparoscopic urology: kidney isolation, detection, dissection and clipping of blood vessels, nephrectomy, intracorporeal suture, stop bleeding from injured surrounding organs.

At the end of the course, course participants received CIS certificates.
