The Center for Surgical Innovations is an interdisciplinary educational project that has been actively operating since 2013, on the basis of National Institute of Surgery and Transplantation the O. Shalimov, as well as on the bases of the Odesa National Medical University, the Kharkiv Regional Oncology Center, the Okhmatdyt State Medical Research Institute, and others. support of the Association of Surgeons of Ukraine.

The purpose of the project is  providing a material and technical basis for the improvement of the qualifications of surgical specialists of various specialties, anesthesiologists, nurses at clinical bases, organizational and methodological assistance, practicing the practical skills of surgical interventions in operating clinics using modern technologies and methods by leading specialists of Ukraine.

An undeniable advantage is the integration of the project into the structure of the National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology, which includes clinical and experimental departments
