On July 26-30, 2021, the Training Center "Center of Surgical Innovation ®" hosted a five-day course for interns and senior students of medical schools "Basic skills of laparoscopic surgery."

Curator of the course - Mikhalchevsky Valentin Petrovich - surgeon, Department of Pancreatic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery of the Bile Ducts.

The theoretical program of the course included the following topics: "Fundamentals of laparoscopic technique", "Tips and tricks of modern laparoscopic operations", "Laparoscopic surgery in emergencies. Acute stomach. Surgery or gynecology. Multidisciplinary approach. (Acute appendicitis, perforated ulcers, ovarian apoplexy) Situational tasks on the position of the trocars when performing basic surgery.

The schedule was busy. Much attention was paid to practical training on simulators with the development of skills of laparoscopic instruments and the formation of intracorporeal nodes.

During the seminar, cadets had the opportunity to visit the operating room NIHT them OO Shalimov.

During VET LAB-practice, the participants trained in the formation of pneumoperitoneum, arrangement of trocars, navigation of the camera in the abdominal cavity, manipulation of instruments, formation of intracorporeal sutures and modeling the course of surgery for perforated gastric and duodenal ulcers, performed cholecystitis nephrectomy, marginal resection of the liver and worked hemostasis for bleeding from various sources.

At the end of the course, participants received Certificates of "Center of Surgical Innovation ®".
