February 15-16, 2021 on the basis of the National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology. O.O. Shalimov together with the Center of Surgical Innovation conducted a two-day course "Laparoscopic anatomical resection of the liver: indications, techniques, tips and tricks."

Course curator - FEDOROV DENYS OLEKSANDROVYCH - Ph.D., transplant surgeon of the first category, senior researcher of the Department of Surgery and Liver Transplantation of the National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology. O.O. Shalimov.

The cadets attended a specialized series of lectures on the tactics of management of patients with surgical pathology of the liver according to modern evidence standards prepared by the staff of the Department of Surgery and Liver Transplantation.

The lecture part of the course highlighted the main aspects of minimally invasive liver resections based on current world data and the results of generalization of their own experience.

During the practical part, the cadets received a visit to the operating room of the National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology named after OO Shalimov and receive practical advice, also performed operations by the curator and his team: Laparoscopic right hemihepatectomy, Laparoscopic anatomical resection of Sg 7liver. .

We hope that the training will contribute to the introduction of this state-of-the-art technique in our country, thanks to which more patients will receive painless and effective treatment.
