WORKSHOP "LAPAROSCOPIC INTERVENTIONS IN KIDNEY TUMORS. FEATURES, SUBSTANCES AND Tricks "(LEVEL: EXPERT)

From October 28 to 30, 2021, the Center for Surgical Innovations hosted a workshop "Laparoscopic interventions for kidney tumors. Features. Subtleties and tricks "(expert level).

Course curator - Ph.D. Stakhovsky AE, Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery, National Cancer Institute.

The cadets were presented with a large theoretical program, which includes lectures on the basics of laparoscopic techniques, analysis of stages and critical moments of laparoscopic radical nephrectomy and partial resection of the kidney.

The participants of the course listened to a series of lectures: "Radical nephrectomy of the kidney as the main surgical intervention in cancer, kidney", "Renal ischemia - a factor influencing the functional results".

Classes on laparoscopic simulators were held according to a special method, cadets practiced the basic stages of sewing.

One of the days of the course program was set aside for a visit by doctors of the National Cancer Institute, where the cadets were able to see the performance live under the guidance of Stakhovsky AE laparoscopic resection of the kidney without ischemia of the central vessels.

During the "vet lab" practice, cadets had the opportunity to apply the acquired laparoscopic skills in working on laboratory pigs, to test high-frequency, plasma and ultrasound devices from the world's leading manufacturers of surgical equipment. Under the guidance of the course curator, surgeons successfully performed kidney resection and nephrectomy.

As a result of the course, surgeons received SSI certificates.

The CSI team congratulates the doctors on the successful completion of the course and wishes everyone good luck!
