Surgeon, coloproctologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, professor of the department of surgery №1 of the National Medical University named after O. Bogomolets. He has been working at the department since 1985.
Areas of scientific and practical work: surgical treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor surgery, surgical treatment of patients with colon cancer. He has extensive experience in performing laparoscopic operations, created original and improved existing methods of performing minimally invasive procedures.
He defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in 1986, devoted to morphological studies of the pancreas in acute pancreatitis, and in 2002 - the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences, devoted to laparoscopic surgery of the colon.
He is a member of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES).
