From December 19 to 21, 2019, at the training center, "Center of Surgical Innovation ®" underwent a course "Laparoscopic interventions for tumors of the kidney. Features. Subtleties and tricks" (expert level).
Course curator - Ph.D. Stakhovsky AE, Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery, National Cancer Institute.
The course was attended by urologists from different regions of Ukraine. The students were presented with a large theoretical program, including lectures on the basics of laparoscopic technique, analysis of stages of execution and critical moments in the process of minimally invasive extraperitoneal removal of the prostate.
The participants of the course listened to a series of lectures: "Radical nephrectomy of the kidney, as the main surgical interventions for cancer, kidney", "Ischemia of the kidney - a factor that affects the functional results".
Classes on laparoscopic simulators were held by a special technique, the cadets worked out the basic stages of sewing.
One of the days of the course program was dedicated to visiting doctors of the National Cancer Institute, where the cadets were able to see live the performance of surgical presentation under the leadership of Stakhovsky A. resection of the kidney.
During the "vet lab" practice cadets had the opportunity to apply the obtained laparoscopic skills in working conditions on laboratory pigs, to test in work high-frequency, plasma and ultrasonic devices from the leading world manufacturers of surgical equipment. Under the guidance of the curator, the surgeons successfully worked out the kidney resection.
Following the course, the surgeons received CSI certificates.
