October 16 to 19, 2018, the Center for Surgical Innovations underwent an intensive course of thematic advanced training for surgeons “Practical skills of laparoscopic surgery”, curated by a surgeon - Lytvyn Alexander Ivanovich, department of laparoscopic surgery and cholelithiasis.
The program of the course implied daily exercises on simulators, visits to operating NIHT them. A.A. Shalimova, theoretical course and “wet lab” on a laboratory animal (pig). Specialists NIHT them. A.A. Shalimova and CSI teachers conducted a series of lectures on various topics: “Basics of Laparoscopic Technique”, “Laparoscopic Appendectomy”, “Laparoscopic Treatment of Hernia of the Anterior Abdominal Wall”, “Laparoscopic Treatment of Hernia AML”, “Laparoscopic Treatment of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders”. In the course of work on laparoscopic simulators, the cadets improved their professional skills, practicing the skills of dissection, ligation, sewing and knitting knots. In the operating room, during the “slow lab”, the cadets had the opportunity to apply laparoscopic techniques and techniques, to test high-frequency, plasma and ultrasound devices from leading world manufacturers of surgical equipment. Under the direction of the course curator, surgeons have successfully carried out a number of surgical laparoscopic interventions, such as: cholecystectomy, liver resection, nephrectomy, splenectomy, fundoplication, adnexectomy, appendectomy, anastomosis.
