Teachers: leading experts of the National Medicine Academy for Post-Graduate Education after P. Shupik and Department for Plastic and Reconstructive Oncological Urology in the National Institute of Cancer.
Course objectives: сonsidering the main principles of laparoscopy in urology, training methods of miniinvasive surgery, with all the surgical energies being applied.
Theory (7 hours)
Practising laparoscopy on simulators and organic complexes (8 hours)
Performing the operations suggested on the lab swines (8 hours)
Analyzing the main stages of surgical interventions during the online broadcast from the operating room. (8 hours)
Assisting the leading experts of the National Institute of Cancer in the clinical operating rooms (8 hours)
Skill test control:
Practising manual skills in laparoscopy;
Instruction for working with laparoscopic devices and instruments;
Rules for setting ports;
Intracorporal and extracorporal suture applying methods
Expected results upon completion of the Course:
Mastering the intracorporal and extracorporal suture applying methods;
Further training with modern equipment in laparoscopic gynecology to ensure surgical energy safety and efficiency;
Practising standard methods of nephrectomy on lab swines;
Practising standard methods of nephrectomy in the in-patient operating rooms and participation in operation with leading experts
Material and technical facilities of the course: simulators for laparoscopy, devices and equipment for laparoscopic surgery (laparoscopy, HF plasma, ultrasonic devices), boards to practise working skills with laparoscopic instruments, organic complexes, lab swines, in-patient operating rooms, broadcasting from operating rooms, multi-media learning facilities, video library, library
Methodology: module standards of education based on recommendations of American and European Unions of surgeons.
The course graduates receive the CSI Certificates.
The improvement course completion papers of the National Medicine Academy for Post-Graduate Education after P.Shupik (to be additionally discussed).
